The Science goal of MaGIXS-2 is to determine the frequency of heating in active region cores by making four critical observations.

MaGIXS-2 aims to derive the relative amount of high-temperature plasma in different solar active region structures and measure the elemental abundances in different solar active region structures.

The Principal Investigator was Dr. Winebarger/NASA Marshall Space Flight Center.
